So basically, this is my blog just to keep anyone who's interested up to date on what I'm doing right now. I can't make any promises as to how often I will update, as it is just whenever I have time. Oftentimes, my updates are just useless little posts of icons and such that I snagged on the internet earlier. Those are solely to entertain me. Blood and Chocolate

So I decided I might start a little line of book reviews. So, the book I just finished Bood and Chocolate by Annette Curtis Klause.

I decided to read this book because I had just read Kaluse's novel Freaks: Alive on the Inside. I really enjoyed that so I thought that BC might be good.

Let me just say, my preliminary opinion of this book came from the movie with the same title. I enjoyed it but I felt it was pretty cheesy. The book and movie could not be more differant. It is well worth reading the book.

First of all, the movie was set in like, Romania. How cliche can you be for a werewolf movie? The book is set in (if I recall correctly) West Virginia. Vivian goes to a regular high school and it a pretty normal teen. She meets Aiden and they start to date.

Now, I can't honestly decide who is cuter; movie or book Aiden. Probably the movie, because in the book hes a bit of a wimp.

However, I was incredibly pleased by the portrayl of Gabriel in the book as compared to the movie. I thought he was actually really cute. He just sounded like a sexy, nice guy with amazing leadership skills who, pretty much, kicks some serious ass. In the movie he was a creep.

Now, I don't want to give away the ending to either the book or movie, but I will say that they are totally differant. I prefered the book. It just seemed more believable. With the choice that Vivian makes in the movie she would be some what tormented by her choice for the rest of her life. The book takes a path that is much more logical due to the fact that it is a teen love story and that Aiden reacts to her being a werewolf in the logical manner, fear.

I was, all in all, very happy with the book. I imagine I'll probably read Silver Kiss soon, but right now I am elbow deep in Marked by PC and Kristen Cast. So I would expect that the next review will be that. After that, possibly Betrayed (the sequel to Marked) or one of the many other books living in the bag next to my bed. I probably have about... between 20 and 50 books that I haven't read yet.
